This Brother HS-70Am CNC Wire EDM is an excellent opportunity for a shop, rebuild specialist, or experienced Brother EDM user looking for a highly capable machine at an exceptional price.
The machine is currently operational and cuts just fine. The primary known issue is with the contact/edge-finding function. The contact light remains on, indicating that the wire is detecting contact with something. As a result, the machine cannot currently be used to edge-find a part.
Despite this issue, the machine has successfully run several jobs recently without the need for edge finding, demonstrating that the EDM's cutting function remains operational.
Someone familiar with Brother EDM machines and their contact/edge-finding system may be able to diagnose and correct the issue relatively quickly.
